Arie Lamdan was born in Israel in 1944 and lived in the U.S. from 1954 to 1966. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston’s Massachussetts College of Art in 1966.
Arie has been a member of the Israel Artist’s Guild since 1970, and was one of the founders of the Artist’s Association of Rishon Le Zion, Israel, and one of the founders of the artist collective The Group of Six. He served on the jury of the Art Committee of “Bet Yad Lebanim” in Rishon Le Zion.
Arie studied advanced etching with the Israeli artist Tuvia Beri, and has been teaching drawing, painting and art history in various institutions since 1969. He lectures regularly, and has participated in one-man and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
In 1994 he completed a course for tour leaders, and guides many groups of art lovers in museums in Israel and abroad.
A diverse artist, Arie paints and sculpts in a wide variety of media. Three of his metal sculptures can be found in Rishon Le Zion: “Don Quixote”, “The Weightlifter” and “Moishe Dudel”.
Arie lives and works in Rishon Le Zion with his wife Anne, and is the proud father of 3 and grandfather of 6.
