Using the traditional method of printing, Arie focuses on the psychological aspect of his subject rather than its narrative. His etchings are the creations of an artist who draws as he breathes, with a sigh of anguish or of joy. In all of his works, from self portraits and renderings of varied figures, to realistic landscapes and surrealistic fantasies, Arie sets out to explore human emotion and spiritual qualities.
